Windsor Mill Neighborhood

This project was designed by Fisher & Hall Urban Design with Laura Hall as Project Facilitator. Windsor Mill is a downtown infill neighborhood on the site of a former mill. It is within walking distance of Windsor’s historic downtown and Town Green as well as to the proposed SMART railway station that will connect the Counties of Sonoma, Marin and San Francisco.

To provide for both a sense of place as well as safety, new housing will front on Windsor Creek and the train tracks. Mature oaks will be preserved and will connect this new neighborhood to the local landscape. Narrow, interconnected streets and small block perimeters will encourage walking and neighborhood vitality.
