Hall Alminana was part of a design and planning consulting team with Cooper, Robertson & Partners as master planner and Robert A.M. Stern as lead architect. Hall Alminana calibrated the SmartCode for this new community to be developed adjacent to the historic Tuxedo Park built in the first three decades of the 20th century. Tuxedo Reserve is a mixed-use community comprising 764 single-family homes of various types, 431 multi-family units including townhouses and apartments, 30,000 sf. of retail and commercial uses, as well as civic uses such as a day-care center, library, community center, and social club. Tuxedo Reserve offers a variety of urban to rural environments, encompassing T3, T4, and T5 zones. Over 60% of the total land area is to be preserved as T1 Natural Zone.
Related sponsored the use of the SmartCode as a means to secure flexibility in addressing future real estate market demand while ensuring a quality built environment. The SmartCode has the capacity to create traditional neighborhood patterns that enable mixed use, walkability, diversity of housing and preservation of open space.
