The Master Plan and SmartCode for this new neighborhood were designed by Fisher & Hall Urban Design with Laura Hall as Project Facilitator. It is located on the site of a former Agilent campus within the city limits of Rohnert Park in Sonoma County.
Sonoma Mountain Village is an innovative redevelopment of a high tech campus with a focus on creating a pedestrian-friendly and ‘green’ place to live, work, shop and play. It will include a village square surrounded by mixed-used buildings, a range of residential building types - cottage courts, single-family homes, live-work, apartments, townhouses and estate homes - as well as shops, cafes, a movie theater, parks, civic buildings, manufacturing and office. It has been accepted as a LEED-ND pilot project (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Neighborhood Development.
